• Hydrophilic Membranes for Filtration - used with aqueous or compatible solutions
  GE polycarbonate and polyester, GE nylon, GE nitrocellulose-mixed esters, GE polyethersulfone, GE cellulose acetate and GE silver membranes are included in this section.
  
  
• Filters for Prefiltration or High Dirt Loading Capacity
  Glass Fiber with or without binding, and polypropylene prefilters are often used for removing large particulates from solutions before using the smaller pore sizes of membranes.
  
  
• Hydrophobic Membranes for Strong or Aggressive Solvents, Acids, Bases and Venting
